At Seeds of Change Counseling Center, we recognize that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. As compassionate professionals, we understand that everyone may need a helping hand at times.
With over 24 years of experience in the field of mental health, Stacy Lynn Harris, MSW, LCSW, is a dedicated therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. As the owner of her own practice, Stacy specializes in treating anxiety, PTSD, panic, depression, and neurodivergence, with a particular focus on women's care, although her practice is open to all, including the LGBTQ+ community.
Stacy holds a BA in Psychology from Morehead State University (1997) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Kentucky (2000). She has spent much of her career honing her skills and deepening her knowledge to provide the best care possible. Stacy's therapeutic approach combines Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness Skills Training, and Trauma-Informed Care, offering a holistic and personalized approach to healing.
From a young age, Stacy knew she wanted to become a therapist. Her interest in differential diagnoses began in the 6th grade, influenced by her parents' work in behavioral health. Today, she continues to apply this early curiosity in her clinical practice, ensuring that every client receives thoughtful, individualized care rooted in empathy and expertise.
Whether you are dealing with trauma, stress, or everyday life transitions, Stacy is here to guide you toward healing and growth in a safe and supportive environment.
Sydney Ellis is a compassionate and dedicated Targeted Case Manager with a strong commitment to helping individuals improve their overall functioning and independence. With two years of experience in the field, Sydney has developed a deep interest in working with adolescents and young adults, individuals with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent populations, and victims and survivors of interpersonal partner violence.
Sydney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Sciences from Northern Kentucky University, where she also minored in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, with a specialization in trauma-informed care, to deepen her ability to support those in need.
Sydney's approach to case management centers on promoting autonomy. She works closely with individuals to help them develop the skills and strategies necessary to navigate daily tasks independently and enhance their overall quality of life. She believes in the importance of addressing Maslow's hierarchy of needs, ensuring that each person receives the support they need to thrive.
Her dedication to the field stems from a strong desire to fill gaps in mental health services, offering individuals a reliable and empathetic resource as they work through challenges and seek growth. Sydney is here to support those she serves with patience, understanding, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
