Frequently Asked Questions

What insurance do you accept?

We currently accept several employer provided insurance plans and Medicaid. We offer self-pay and can assist you with providing a superbill to your out-of-network insurance for some or all of your payment. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions: do I have mental health or behavioral health coverage? What is my deductible? What is my copay? How many sessions am I allowed?

How long are appointments?

Most appointments last from 53-67 minutes, but can be scheduled for 30 minutes or 45 minutes as needed. We are primarily offering Telehealth/online services at this time. Some In-person sessions can be completed for Accelerated Resolution Therapy sessions or when available with Stacy Harris, MSW, LCSW.

What services or types of counseling do you offer?

As stated earlier, most of our sessions are conducted via telehealth at this time, but in-person sessions may be completed in specific cases. We offer individual therapy and sometimes offer group therapy for anxiety . Although we specialize in helping females of all ages with anxiety, self-esteem problems, nervousness, excessive worry, trauma, feeling overwhelmed, and life changes, we provide individual therapy to individuals struggling with depression, mood swings, and addiction as well. We use various types of talk therapy, mindfulness via yoga and stretching, walk-and-talk therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

All of our therapists are trained in providing Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART incorporates a combination of effective, recognized techniques used in psychotherapies, but in a unique and very specific way.

ART works to reprogram the way in which distressing images and memories are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.

ART uses visualization techniques and attention on how the body is affected by distressing images or memories, enhanced through use of horizontal eye movements that may be similar to eye movements during dreaming.

ART is considered a brief model therapy training that is officially recognized as evidenced-based treatment for psychological trauma and depression by SAMHSA National Registry of Evidenced-Based Programs and Practices. Find a therapist here.
